The issue
Nigeria should adopt a national patient safety framework that applies to all levels of care. Priority domains include patient identification, medication safety, surgical safety, infection prevention, falls prevention, pressure injury prevention, safe blood transfusion, safe handoff communication, adverse event reporting, root cause analysis, mortality reviews, and complaint escalation.
