Proposed flagship pilot

University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla

UNTH is being considered as the initial institutional site for translating the ASQAT framework into a defined, measurable implementation pilot.

Pending Formal Confirmation

Formal pilot status remains subject to ASQAT and appropriate institutional agreement.

Institutional media pending approval

Approved real UNTH media will appear here when permission is documented. No generated image represents the institution.

From framework to institutional learning

Eight stages, one measured learning cycle

  1. 01

    Baseline

Understand current systems, capacity and measurable starting points.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

Select a manageable group of domains for the first implementation cycle.

  3. 03

    Partner

Match implementation capabilities to identified needs.

  4. 04

    Implement

Apply approved standards, guidance and tools.

  5. 05

    Measure

    Track agreed indicators.

  6. 06

    Document

    Capture implementation experience and evidence.

  7. 07

    Improve

Use findings to strengthen the intervention.

  8. 08

    Scale

Determine what can inform implementation elsewhere.

Initial pilot domains

To Be Agreed

The initial pilot should begin with a defined number of high-priority domains rather than attempting simultaneous implementation across all 39 domains. Domain selection will be based on baseline findings, institutional priorities, feasibility, patient-safety relevance and implementation capacity.

No initial domains have been selected. Selection remains subject to baseline findings and formal agreement.

Pilot governance

Clear roles without assumed partners

ASQAT
Framework, standards, technical oversight and learning.
Pilot Institution
Institutional leadership, implementation ownership and local teams.
Implementation Partners
Specialised capabilities, technical support and delivery.
Government / Regulatory Stakeholders
Alignment with applicable national and state priorities and authority.
Measurement & Evidence
Baseline, indicators, implementation documentation and learning.

Regulatory and government alignment

Align early and avoid duplication

Engagement status

No government collaboration is yet asserted

Successful implementation will require early engagement with the appropriate Federal and State health authorities, regulatory bodies and existing patient-safety and quality initiatives to align the pilot with existing responsibilities and avoid duplication.
